A new Australian dark comedy series

(Think crime, bad decisions and worse timing — but played for laughs.)

This is an independent pilot currently in development. We’re assembling a cast of actors who can deliver serious faces with ridiculous timing. If you can keep a straight face while the world burns around you — read on.

About the Series

Trouble with Gabby lives in that very Australian space where people make terrible choices with absolute confidence. It’s grounded, suburban, recognisably local — the kind of world you could drive past on your way to Woolies — except everyone’s spiralling and somehow it’s funny.

The show treats high-stakes behaviour with a deadpan lens: not slapstick, not sketch, not wink-wink comedy — more like watching a slow-moving train crash that’s somehow still a joke.

Themes include crime, drug use and violence — presented in a comedic frame, not for shock value.
